Email templates

Overview

The templates are used to customize the Exodus email sent to the End-users which informs them about the ongoing EMM migration for their device.

HTML and text

The email can be sent in two formats: HTML and text to be as friendly as possible with any email's clients rules.

Default template

Exodus uses a default template that can be used as is or as a base for a custom template.

You can download the Android template or iOS template to use it as a base for your own customization.

General

For each platform we have two types of customizable templates, one for text and one for HTML.

Note

The text version is a fallback of the HTML version so content should be the same.

Android email

Components

The template in itself represents the body of the email but you can also customize the sender name and the subject of the email.

When creating an Android template, two parameters are mandatory:

  • #(deviceModel) which helps the End-users identify their device
  • #(dynamicLink) which is used to install and set the Android companion application

Sender

Exodus

Note

Only the sender name can be customized, the email address will remain no-reply@exodus.tools.
